Pediatric Radiation Oncology
Pediatric radiotherapy for patients at Phoenix Children's Hospital is performed by the radiation oncology team at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Thomas Daniels, MD and Sameer Keole, MD are board-certified radiation oncologists with a focus in pediatric cancers. Both have several years of experience, are members of the Children’s Oncology Group and have published multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Daniels trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has served as the Section Chief of Radiation Oncology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital since 2010.
Dr. Keole trained at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He has prior pediatric experience from both the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute as well as the ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Oklahoma. He serves as the Medical Director for the Mayo Clinic Arizona Proton Beam Therapy Program.
At Mayo Clinic, the current state-of-the-art radiation therapy treatments available include image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy, proton beam therapy and brachytherapy.
Pediatric anesthesia is available to patients who may require it.
