What You Need to Know
COVID-19 Resource Center
Your Safety is Our Top Priority
Phoenix Children’s remains committed to keeping you and your family safe. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have safely cared for thousands of children who needed in-person care. In fact, many of the precautions put into place are still in use to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, which include visitor restrictions, universal masking, symptom screening, enhanced cleaning and procedures. We also offer telehealth visits where appropriate, and we are providing an extra layer of safety by staggering patient visits and treatment schedules to allow for social distancing.
Next time your child needs in-person care, you can have peace of mind that we’re doing everything we can to keep you safe, healthy and well.
When your child is referred to a medical specialist at Phoenix Children’s, you will receive the highest level of care in a timely way. We have resumed services, treatments and surgical procedures across all of our specialty areas to give you and your family access to the care you need.
If your child missed a specialist appointment or procedure due to COVID-19, call 602-933-KIDS (5437) to connect with your provider and determine next steps. If your child is cared for by a community-based Phoenix Children’s Care Network specialist, you can find their contact information here.
Your child’s pediatrician is an excellent resource for your child’s health and wellness. Annual well visits and sick appointments give your child’s doctor the opportunity to answer questions, offer reassurance, connect you with specialized care and much more.
If your family has missed any appointments, please take a moment and schedule one so you can be sure your child receives the care they need, including preventive care.
Vaccines: We know the impact vaccines have on preventing illness. But, many families skipped doctor’s visits during the pandemic and are now behind vaccination schedules. The CDC is warning that the risk of measles and other illnesses that can be prevented are increasing. If your child missed any vaccinations, please call your family’s provider. We can get your child’s health care back on track.
Annual well checks: Your child’s wellness visit is an important cornerstone of their good health. During this visit, your pediatrician will perform a complete examination to ensure your child is developing properly and will decide if extra care is needed.
Sick visits: Most injuries and illnesses get worse without treatment. If you believe your child should be seen by a provider, but you are nervous about leaving home, please contact your pediatrician’s office to talk about your child’s health issue and determine the right course of action.
To schedule an appointment with a Phoenix Children’s Pediatrics provider, contact a clinic near you. If your child is cared for by a Phoenix Children’s Care Network community provider, you can find their address and phone number here.
