The pediatric endocrinology team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital is committed to helping children and their families manage endocrine disorders. We continue to accept new patients and schedule new appointments during COVID-19. When you make an appointment, our clinicians will talk with you about your child’s needs and determine if it should be handled via telehealth or in person.

When your child’s hormones and the glands that produce them aren’t working properly, it can impact many different areas of health – from growth and maturity to blood sugar levels, metabolism, mood and much more.

The pediatric endocrinologists at Phoenix Children Hospital deliver expert, compassionate care that children and families can trust. And our kid-friendly team of nurse specialists, nutritionists, certified diabetes educators, psychologists, social workers and Child Life specialists make sure all your child’s needs – physical, mental and emotional – are met.

Teaming Up for Better Care

Problems with the endocrine system aren’t always limited to hormones and endocrine glands. Our endocrinology department partners with specialists across Phoenix Children’s to make sure your child receives comprehensive, cohesive care. Whether that’s working with nephrology, radiology or surgery, you can be confident that your child’s care team is working toward the common goal of helping your child feel their best.

Recognized Leaders in Endocrinology

Phoenix Children’s has the largest pediatric endocrinology and diabetes program in Arizona, serving more than 6,400 children (and their families) each year. To us, this is more than about bragging rights. It’s about putting our experience, insight and expertise to work for your family. It’s about applying lessons learned and advancing the care available for children across the state. This dedication is just one of the reasons Phoenix Children’s is ranked as a “Best Children’s Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report.

Advancing Pediatric Endocrinology Care

Knowledge is power. After all, the more we understand about how endocrine conditions affect children, the better we can identify opportunities to advance the care available. The pediatric endocrinology department has developed a research study that will help us better understand our patients and find these new ideas, innovations and opportunities in care. You can help by agreeing to share your child’s health information into a research registry or by participating in research projects related to your child’s health.

A research coordinator may ask your permission or share research opportunities with you during an appointment with your child’s provider. You will always be given the option to participate, and the quality of your child’s care will never be impacted.
